Washington, DC-based rockers Dead Professional are proud to announce their new EP Young Hardware, which will see a release on September 24. To ring in the announcement, the newly-expanded group has released the new track “You Heard What You Wanted” from the EP, which is available to stream or embed HERE. Young Hardware follows on the heels of their last EP Hard Hard Hard, which was released in late 2014.
The group also has some performances scheduled during September, which are listed below. More performances will be announced soon.
Frontman and founder John Harouff has expanded Dead Professional this year from studio project and one-man-band to incorporate a tight power trio, playing live with the likes of Ryan Adams, Kurt Vile and Hiss Golden Messenger. This is back-to-basics rock that effortlessly blends the cool wit of classic British power pop à la Nick Lowe and Elvis Costello with the warmth and heart of 1970’s American songwriters like Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen.
Young Hardware EP tracklist:
1. Downtown At Sundown
3. Call Me A Doctor
4. I’m In The Dark
5. Sweet Surrender In The Bitter End
Dead Professional’s upcoming performances:
9/10 – The Garage – Charlottesville, VA
9/26 – Roctown Beer & Music Fest – Harrisonburg, VA
