Hecksher Park tennis courts to be resurfaced
SARASOTA COUNTY – A tennis court resurfacing project at Hecksher Park in Venice is scheduled to begin next week.
The resurfacing is being done in phases to allow three of the six courts to be available for play at any time.
The project schedule is as follows:
- Courts 1, 2 and 3: Work expected to begin Aug. 31 and end Sept. 18
- Courts 4, 5 and 6: Work expected to begin Sept. 21 and end Oct. 9.
Hecksher Park, 450 W. Venice Ave., Venice, is owned by the City of Venice and operated and maintained by Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources.
