WHAT: Asolo Repertory Theatre will host local auditions for the roles of Lt. Schrank and Glad Hand in its upcoming production of West Side Story on Friday, September 4, 2015. Asolo Rep is seeking one local Equity or non-Equity actor to play both roles. Mertz Theatre (LORT B):

[LIEUTENANT SCHRANK] – Early 40s – Early 60s. Plainclothes policeman used to being in charge, superficially pleasant to cover his venom, fear, and bigotry. Non-singing. Also Plays GLAD HAND.
[GLAD HAND] Early 40s – Early 60s. Nerdy, overly cheerful and ill-equipped social director/chaperone at the local gym dance. Non-singing. Also plays LIEUTENANT SCHRANK. WHEN: WHERE: HOW: Actors will be asked to prepare sides from West Side Story. Appropriate sides will be emailed after confirmation of audition appointment.
