Sarasota, Fla. – (August 24, 2015) – Cat Depot announced its partnership with Honor Animal Rescue for the upcoming 2015 Giving Challenge with the theme Make Their Lives Matter by Working Together. The two animal rescue organizations are working together to make a difference in the lives of cats and dogs. Cat Depot and Honor Animal Rescue are asking animal lovers and donors to support both organizations on September 1-2, noon to noon, for the 2015 Giving Challenge. For the next two weeks look for the heartwarming stories of dogs and cats featured by each rescue and show them the love! New donors will be matched up to $250 during the entire 24 hours of the 2015 Giving Challenge. Donations are 100% tax deductible. Donations can be made at www.givingpartnerchallenge.org.

 

  • Cat Depot’s Giving Challenge kick off will begin on Friday, August 28, in conjunction with National Bow Tie Day. Take the bow tie challenge and wear your bow tie on Friday, August 28. Post your photo, or photo of your pet, on Cat Depot’s Facebook page. Remember to use the hash tags #ShowThemTheLove and #GivingChallenge15. Want to meet Cat Depot’s spokescat Bow-Tie personally and show off your own bow tie creation? He will visit Cat Depot on August 28 from 4:00-7:00 p.m.

 

  • The Bow-Tie Overstock Adoption event is Friday, August 28, 2015 through Tuesday, September 2, 2015. Adoption fees will be reduced to $20 for specially selected cats. The cats will be identified by a bow tie on their identification cards.

 

  • JDub’s Brewing Company event is Sunday, August 30, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at JDub’s Brewing Company, 1215 Mango Ave, Sarasota, FL 34237. Wear a bow-tie and receive $1.00 off your first beer. A specially-crafted beer called Bow-Tie’s Brew will be available in honor of Cat Depot’s spokescat, Bow-Tie. Kittens will be available to snuggle with, food truck, outdoor games, and a special appearance by Cat Depot’s spokescat, Bow-Tie, and Cat Depot’s mascot, Petunia!

 

  • Cat Depot will be open for 24 hours during the 2015 Giving Challenge, September 1-2. The public is invited to the Cats Pajama Party on September 1st at 8:00 p.m. Popcorn and cat movies all night. Wear your pajamas for entry, or your cat pajamas, and party with the cats and kittens.
