(Sarasota, FL) Gloria Musicae is making a party of the 2015 “Giving Partner Challenge” by co-hosting a “Art of Giving Launch Party,” September 1, noon to 6 p.m., in the lobby of the Roskamp Building, 1226 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. The non-profit is teaming up with Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota, the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County, ITNSunCoast and the Roskamp Institute to offer door prizes, live entertainment and assistance with online donations. The event is free and open to the public.
Susan Burke, executive director of Gloria Musicae, explains that the initiative was developed for the 2015 Giving Challenge, a 24-hour online fundraising event benefiting regional nonprofits. Hosted by the Community Foundation of Sarasota Countys online tool, the Giving Partner, the challenges takes place September 1 and 2, noon to noon, at www.GivingPartnerChallenge.org.
We’re thrilled to be co-hosting this event as part of this years Giving Challenge,” says Burke. It will be fun and a great way to showcase our organizations accomplishments while raising funds for their future.”
Additional incentives for Gloria Musicae in this years Giving Challenge include The Patterson Foundations match for new donations up to $250, and a match for every donation up to $5,000 provided by a generous Gloria Musicae supporter.
As an added bonus, every Gloria Musicae Giving Challenge donor will receive a gift certificate for a free scoop of ice cream at Edys Main Street, our business partner in the Giving Challenge,” says Burke. “We’re celebrating the triple dip; each new donation is tripled by these generous matches. Burke invites the public to set up their own internal challenge to honor someone, celebrate a special event, or generally encourage participation, and to come to the launch party.
“This is a great opportunity to meet and mingle with other arts enthusiasts while supporting a great cause,” she says.
