BACK TO SCHOOL OUTREACH BASH
10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m….Refuge Church, 2101 Riverside Drive, Fort Worth (76111)
For the seventh straight year, the Refuge Church will host this event. Rangers catcher Robinson Chirinos and his Foundation have donated 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies that will be distributed at the Back to School event. In addition, free haircuts, food and refreshments, dental supplies, and groceries will be available.
Rangers participants scheduled to attend are Robinson Chirinos, Elvis Andrus, Carlos Corporan, Yovani Gallardo, Rougned Odor, Martin Perez, Jayce Tingler, and Rangers Captain (players expected to be there between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.).
Robinson Chirinos Foundation Mission Statement:
The Robinson Chirinos Foundation charitable intent is to benefit the youth and families in our communities. The mission is to provide food, clothing , equipment, sport facilities and items needed to attend school for the less fortunate; To incorporate Order, discipline, moral, ethical and mentorship to impact excellence and expectation to being successful in sports, education or in anything one sets their minds to be or do without the set back of simple essentials.
2015 TEXAS RANGERS ALS ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE

As part of Major League Baseball’s league-wide initiative, the 2015 Rangers ALS Ice Bucket Challenge will include Rangers Hall of Fame catcher Ivan Rodriguez, Rangers’ players, and the two teams participating in Saturday morning’s MLB RBI Senior Division World Series championship game, Harrisburg RBI and Miami Marlins RBI. The Rangers, who were challenged by the Minnesota Twins, will challenge the San Diego Padres.
