Annual 5K Run/Walk Celebrating Colorado Symphony’s New Season Create a team, run with your dog or stroller, or run solo to help support your Colorado Symphony’s 2015/16 Season at this fun-filled event on Sept. 19
July 10, 2015 – The Colorado Symphony is proud to announce the return of the 5K run/walk to kick off the start of our 2015/16 Season taking place on September 19, 2015 at Sloan’s Lake Park. This fundraiser event supports the Colorado Symphony’s mission to engage, educate and entertain the community of Colorado. Dogs, kids, strollers and especially costumes are all encouraged.
Among the participants will be multiple musicians and staff members of the Colorado Symphony including CEO Jerry Kern. “The 5K is a great opportunity for the community to kick off the Symphony’s 15-16 Season, and to see if you can out run your favorite musicians.” – Colorado Symphony CEO Jerry Kern
One free Colorado Symphony concert ticket is included with registration to the 5K to enjoy a performance during the 2015/16 Season at Boettcher Concert Hall. (Some exclusions apply.) Early packet pickup is available on Friday, September 18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Colorado Symphony Box Office (1000 14th St., No. 15 Denver, CO 80202). Participants who take advantage of early packet pick up are welcome to redeem their free ticket for the Colorado Symphony 2015/16 season opener Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 on Sept. 18-20.
7:45 am – Registration and packet pickup 8:45 am – Kids fun run 9:00 am – 5K run/walk starts 10:00 am – Awards ceremony 10:15 am – Live concert begins
Awards will be given out for the fastest male/female, fastest runner of each specified age group, largest team, and most successful fundraiser. Parking is available in the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood south of 17th Street and East of Sheridan. The course will start on 17th Street between Zenobia and Yates.
