Venice Theatre’s Executive/Artistic Director to hold open auditions for “Generations” drama, I Never Saw Another Butterfly

 

(Venice, FL) Venice Theatre will be casting up to 15 performers aged 10 through adult for its upcoming “Generations” drama, I Never Saw Another Butterfly. The Theatre’s Executive/Artistic Director, Murray Chase, is directing the show and is holding auditions Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26 at 2 p.m.

 

I Never Saw Another Butterfly is a stunning drama that shows joy in the most horrific conditions. The script is based on the true story of a Holocaust survivor from Terezin and the children she taught during the war. Auditioners will be asked to read from the script. Perusals are available by calling 941-484-4033. Chase will also hear monologues, but preparing one is optional. Performances of I Never Saw Another Butterfly will take place Thursdays through Sundays Sept. 10 through 20, 2015 in the Pinkerton Theatre. There will also be a school-time performance on Sept. 18 at 11 a.m.
