Greaver Signs with Cardigan Records

STREAM THE NEW EP LINEAGE AND LEGION

(June 29, 2015 – Durham, NC) – Post-hardcore quintet Greaver has signed with the North Carolina record label Cardigan Records. The group will deliver their debut full-length later this year, but today they released a two song EP called Lineage and Legions.

Lineage & Legions is the emotional epilogue to our first EP Clockwork Creatures,” says vocalist Michael Rozier. “Combining elements of post-hardcore, skramz, and shoegaze, it serves as a bridge between who we are now and who we once were.”

Rozier continues “I think we can all agree that linking up with Cardigan was one of the best moves for us to make at this stage as a band. We’re stoked to be a part of the family!”

Pick up Lineage and Legions at the Cardigan Records website or via iTunes.

About Greaver:

Hailing from Durham, NC, Greaver fuses the rhythmic and melodic intensity of post-hardcore with raw, emotional energy commonly associated with screamo titans Suis La Lune, Pianos Become the Teeth, and Envy.

As a 5-piece, they blend a textured backdrop of dark, yet luminous melodies with the ferocity and rhythmic drive of modern hardcore. Vocalists Michael Rozier and Ernest Smith Jr vary their vocals from intimate whispers to desperate screams when delivering their lyrics, exploring concepts of theology and grief. Completing their lineup with Sean McNaught on guitar, Eli Wray on bass, and Travis Hall on drums, Greaver’s live performances represent the intimacy of their lyrics by incorporating vocals from nearly every member, strong audience involvement, and an overall dynamic and intense energy.

Despite only having released two EPs, Greaver already showcases a strong, developed sound and are sure to further expand their sonic signature on their upcoming full length record due out late 2015 on Cardigan Records.
