This summer, when Billy Corgan hits the road with Marilyn Manson, a special guest will be back in the Smashing Pumpkins line up – original drummer, Jimmy Chamberlin.
Having Jimmy back with the band on this tour is important to Billy in celebrating their journey and reconnecting.
“We’re thrilled Jimmy’s back in the saddle this summer to drive a super high-octane set, and it’s nice to see the stars aligning around Smashing Pumpkins anew,” said Billy Corgan.
Jimmy has been named as one of the greatest drummers of all time by publications such as Rolling Stone and Spin. He played with the Smashing Pumpkins from their formation in 1988 through 2000 and then again from 2005-2009. Billy and Jimmy also formed supergroup Zwan, playing together from 2001-2003. Following Zwan, Jimmy created two bands, the Jimmy Chamberlin Complex and Skysaw.
Originally trained as a jazz drummer, Jimmy is the current CEO of LiveOne Inc., a leader in digital and streaming entertainment.
