STATEMENT FROM MAYOR RAHM EMANUEL ON BEAU BIDEN
“Amy and I are deeply saddened by the passing of Beau Biden. The Bidens are longtime personal friends and we are grieving tonight along with them. Joe Biden is a loving father, and Beau Biden was an adoring son who followed in his father’s footsteps when it came to public service. From serving our country in Iraq to serving his beloved home of Delaware as Attorney General, Beau Biden dedicated his life to a cause greater than himself. He will be deeply missed but remembered lovingly for lives he touched. The thoughts and prayers of all of Chicago are with the Vice President, Dr. Jill Biden and the entire Biden family during this very difficult time.”
