Rob Zombie to Auction Off
Classic Movie Props from Halloween 2 and The Lords of Salem
Only 5 Days Left in the 31 Crowdfunding Campaign
Nationwide Tour Starts this Month
Last year Rob Zombie broke boundaries when he hosted a hugely successful crowdfunding campaign for the film. Earlier this year the campaign was re-launched due to popular demand.
Described by Rob as what is sure to be “the most fucked up film of the year” fans have been treated to exclusive updates and information on the highly anticipated release. Now Rob Zombie’s 31 crowdfunding campaign hits the home stretch with the unveiling of a first in crowdfunding: the auctioning of classic movie props and collectibles.
With just five days to go in the campaign Rob Zombie has now offered fans and collectors the chance to bid to own a variety of classic and highly covetable props. The items included in the auction include Michael Myers’ knife from Halloween 2, Laurie Strode’s shirt from the film Halloween 2 along with a prop book used in the film and an autographed copy of Fangoria featuring the film Halloween, as well as the Black Pig Mask used during the final scene of the Rob’s last film, Lords of Salem.
Bidding for each item starts at a $300 minimum and the auctions will last until this campaign closes on May 10th at 11:59PM PT. As well as participating in the auction, fans also still have five days left to grab signed DVDs or Blu Rays of the as yet unreleased 31, signed collectible posters, Meet & Greets along Rob’s 2015 tour dates and other exclusive items.
31 is in part, a crowd-funded endeavor that will allow Zombie’s legions of fans to be involved from the ground up with his latest project. “I wish something like this had existed when I was a kid,” Zombie explained. “I would have killed to be part of so many movies. Even being involved in the smallest way would have been awesome.”
Since 1997, Rob Zombie has achieved great solo artist success with several multi-platinum and gold albums. As a rock icon and filmmaker with a unique vision, Zombie has continuously challenged audiences as he stretches the boundaries of his music and films. Zombie has sold more than fifteen million albums worldwide, and is the only artist to experience unprecedented success in both music and film as the writer/director of six feature films with a worldwide gross totaling more than $150 million. Zombie’s Halloween, released in 2007, earned the No. 1 spot at the box office in its opening weekend.
The seven-time GRAMMY® nominee is also working on his next studio album, to be released this year via Zodiac Swan/T-Boy/UMe. He will be embarking on a tour this summer as well.
Tickets for Rob Zombie’s upcoming tour dates are on sale now. Be sure to stay tuned for more information on his newest full-length studio release.
