Boston, MA February 13th, 2015 Boston-based singer/songwriter, Jocelyn Arndt, has teamed up with Diffuser.fm to exclusively premiere her new song “Here To Stay,” today: [LINK]. The swing-infused song about true love and sticking it out through thick and thin arrives just in time for Valentine’s Day. In addition to Arndt’s band featuring brother and co-writer Chris on guitar, the song, which was produced by David Bourgeois and mastered by Grammy Award Winning engineer Brad Blackwood (Maroon 5, Saving Abel, Eve 6), also features Gov’t Mule’s Danny Louis on hammond organ and legendary jazz vibraphone player, Tony Miceli.

Regarding the song, Co-writer Chris Arndt stated, Here to Stay” actually started as a chord pattern that I recorded on guitar to practiced lead over.  The moment Jocelyn heard it, she wanted to turn it into a song.  She said it was just way to bluesy to pass up.  So, we took some lyrics she was working on at the time, and we sat down and cranked it out.   It just fell together. We then brought it to David Bourgeois, our producer, and he really took off at a sprint.  He brought in some incredible players, horns, and upright bass, along with Danny Louis from Gov’t Mule on B3 and Jazz Vibe player Tony Miceli.  But even with all of that, he somehow still managed to let the vocal and guitar carry the song.  Everything just came together to make “Here To Stay” into the totally awesome song it is now!  We seriously LOVE it!!”

Jocelyn released her debut EP, Strangers In Fairyland, on October 27th, 2014 and premiered the first single Cinderella with Joonbug, the second single Nevermind with Fanlala and the third single “Lullaby” with Popdust. Currently based in Boston, Jocelyn crafts songs that blend raw energy and striking vocals with breathtaking, personal emotion. The EP, which was mastered by Brad Blackwood, brings that energy to a new level.

About The Artists:

Jocelyn and her brother/co-writer Chris began to reach past their living room practice space when they were barely teens, playing anywhere they could find permission and a power outlet. While Jocelyns distinctive vocal style took shape, Chriss guitar skills flourished, both drawing inspiration from local classic rock stations and their parentsbottomless record collection. The duo soon became known for their stylized songs and powerful performances borrowing equally from classic rock and contemporary indie energy. The music is stunning, mature, sensual, and always impassioned.

At the same time, the siblings recognized another common strength. Both excelled in academics. When Jocelyn completed high school, graduating as Salutatorian, she was accepted at Harvard University. Chris, not to be outdone, finished school a year later as Valedictorian. He was offered enrollment at Yale, but with the duos music gaining traction and a development deal on the line he opted to join Jocelyn at Harvard. This critical decision allowed Jocelyn and Chris to accelerate their writing and complete their debut EP while at the same time providing a common home base to perform and tour from.

Throughout her musical career, Jocelyn has played the Big Apple Indie Music Series, Black Bear Music Festival, Move Music Fest, Utica Music & Arts Festival and The Sundance Film Festival as well as appearing live on Fox Televisions “Good Day New York” and “Weekend Today” in Chattanooga Tennessee. In addition shes shared the stage with artists such as The Gin Blossoms, Magic Man, Ryan Montbleau, Shawn Rowe, and Shinobi Ninja, performing throughout New York, Massachusetts, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Utah, Alabama, Michigan, Tennessee, and Georgia.

Today, Jocelyn 20 and her brother Chris 18, continue to blend alt-rock texture with strong hooks to create broad-genre appeal. The result is worlds beyond ordinary.
