Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza Celebrates Once-In-A-Lifetime Pi Day with $3.14 Pizzas on Saturday, March 14
Be There or Be Square

SARASOTA – Blaze Pizza is cooking up a historical celebration this Pi Day by celebrating the once-in-a-lifetime occurrence when the first five digits of Pi, 3.1415, correspond with this year’s full date, 3/14/15. Sarasota’s Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza invites guests to build their own artisanal pizza “pi” on March 14 for just $3.14 from 11am to Midnight. In addition, every 314th guest to post a picture of themselves with their pizza on Instagram using the hashtag #blazepizza will receive a “round” of 10 free pizza passes.

The Sarasota Blaze Pizza, located at 215 North Cattleman Rd (across from University Town Center Mall near Super Target) celebrated its grand opening just over 1 month ago when over 1000 free pizzas were given away on Free Pizza Day. Now, Blaze is “unfollowing the rules” again for the sake of pi!

“Blaze is always looking for new and inventive ways to share our enthusiasm for pizza with the public, including Pi Day,” said Dennis Sherer, Blaze Managing Partner in North Central Florida. “At Blaze, we serve up delicious pizza, with topping combinations that are almost as infinite as Pi. “

Blaze Pizza is a modern day “pizza joint” known for its custom-built artisanal pizzas, freshly made salads, blood orange lemonade and s’more pies.  Each restaurant features an interactive assembly-line format that allows guests to customize one of the menu’s signature pizzas or create their own, choosing from a wide selection of fresh, artisanal ingredients – all for under $8 (or for $3.14 on Pi Day!).  The generously-sized 11-inch pizzas are then sent to a blazing hot open-flame oven – the centerpiece of the restaurant – where dedicated pizzasmiths ensure that the thin-crust pies are fast-fire’d and ready to eat in just 180 seconds.  For pizza fans with specific dietary needs, Blaze Pizza offers gluten-free dough and vegan cheese. The Sarasota Blaze also offers selection of wine and craft beers.

Full details about the Instagram promotion are available at blazepizza.com/piday.

The Sarasota Blaze is managed by the Louisville, Kentucky-based Millennial Restaurant Group (MRG), which is franchising the concept in four states including Tennessee, Florida, Georgia and Kentucky. The partnership consists of James Patterson Sr., Jim Patterson II, Ulysses (Junior) Bridgeman, Wayne Albritton and Collins Cogan.
