Oscar-Winner Laura Poitras’ Films Available on Fandor

February 23, 2015, San Francisco, California – In anticipation of tonight’s HBO debut of Oscar-winning Edward Snowden documentary “Citizenfour,” streaming film service Fandor allows viewers to watch the first two installments in director Laura Poitras’ compelling post-9/11 trilogy on demand.

Laura Poitras’ documentary “Citizenfour,” about National Security Agency whistleblower Edward Snowden, was the winner of an Independent Spirit Award for Best Documentary and an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature this weekend.

“Citizenfour” is the culmination of a documentary trilogy chronicling life after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The first film in the series, “My Country, My Country” (2006) is an intimate portrait of Iraqis living under American occupation. The second film, “The Oath” (2010) is the crosscut tale of two men whose fateful meeting propelled them on divergent courses with Al-Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, 9/11, Guantanamo Bay Prison and the U.S. Supreme Court.
