Irish Balladeer Paul Carroll to perform at Sarasota County Libraries

SARASOTA COUNTY – In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, Irish Balladeer Paul Carroll will perform a series of special concerts at Sarasota County Libraries in March.
Paul Carroll
A native of Dublin, Carroll grew up during the ballad boom of the 1960’s when the pubs were packed with folk singers and ballad groups. During the 1970’s, Carroll was a founding member of the Celtic band “Poteen”, that served as Australia’s premier Celtic band at the time. They shared the stage with such Irish musical icons as Eric Bogle, The Dubliners, The Fureys and Boys of Lough.
Carroll has called New Hampshire home for nearly 25 years and has recently performed at locations throughout Florida and other parts of the United States. Now the talented Irish Balladeer is coming to Sarasota County.
