The Island Players on Anna Maria to present the play “Becky’s New Car” by Steven Dietz; opens on Thursday, March 26 and runs through April 12

The Island Players, located at 10009 Gulf Drive, Anna Maria, is pleased to present the play, “Becky’s New Car” by Steven Dietz. The show opens on Thursday, March 26th and runs through April 12th.

Performances are Tuesday – Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 each. The Box Office opens on Monday, March 16th and is open from 9-1 on Mondays – Saturdays. On performance nights, the Box Office opens at 7:00 p.m. and for Sunday Matinees, it opens at 1:00 p.m. Visa, MasterCard or Discover are accepted.

“Becky’s New Car” is a hilarious comedy and at the same time, a thoughtful drama about love and fidelity. Caught in middle age, in middle management and in a middling marriage, Becky Foster feels there has to be more out there for her, but doesn’t see any prospects for change on the horizon … until her daily routine of working at a car dealership is flipped upside down.

 

Mike Lusk, an Island Player’s veteran Director, is assisted in directing the cast by Cathy Hansel-Edgerton. The cast consists of; Pamela Hopkins as Becky Foster, Rodney Kwiatkoski as Joe Foster, Jalex Scott as Chris Foster, Jim Faltot as Walter Flood, Hannah Morgan as Kensington Flood, Richard Levene as Steve and Judy Glynn as Ginger.
