The band is currently touring as direct support for alt-pop darling Brooke Fraser‘s Brutal Romantic tour on 21 North American dates through February 2015. About the inspiration behind “The Heartbeat The Soul” music video, Long explains, “I think the song has a sense of loneliness and heartbreak with a romantic and minimalist approach.” He continues, “I wanted a beautiful video that shared those traits.”
Gaining attention from critics and fans alike after debut single, “The Heartbeat The Soul,” gained over 2.1 Million streams on Spotify, Dark Waves second single, “I Don’t Wanna Be In Love,” off his September 2014 released inaugural EP, has proved to be no sleeper hit – stealing the #2 spot on Hype Machine‘s most popular chart, and racking up over 2.3 Million Spotify streams and counting.
