Realize Bradenton Elects New Board Members
Additions to the board of directors of Realize Bradenton, a nonprofit that builds community and economic development, strengthen its board leadership.
(Bradenton, FL) Realize Bradenton, Inc., announces the addition of three new members to its 13-member board of directors. Elected to three-year board positions with Realize Bradenton this month are Ann Breitinger, Chris Timol, and Kay Wight. The board of directors takes action on critical issues and opportunities from a mission-based perspective to continue building vibrancy in downtown Bradenton.
“Realize Bradenton continues to build vibrancy, diversity and fresh thinking as we welcome new members to our board. We are very pleased to add these talented individuals who have already shown great enthusiasm for Bradenton and all our work to enhance the quality of life through arts, culture and sports,” says Dr. Judith Sedgeman, chair of the Realize Bradenton board. “Each board member has close ties to the community. Their diverse backgrounds make them true assets to Realize Bradenton.”
Ann Breitinger is an attorney in Blalock Walters’ business and healthcare practice areas. She counsels clients regarding entity formation, business governance issues, business transactions and healthcare transactional and regulatory matters. Breitinger is a member of Florida Association of Women Lawyers, The Florida Bar, and serves on the boards of directors of Manatee County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and We Care Manatee, Inc. “It is an honor to join the board of directors of Realize Bradenton. I look forward to working with other members of the board and the staff to continue the progress in strengthening the social, cultural, and physical assets of downtown Bradenton while increasing its economic growth,” says Breitinger.
Kay Wight has led a very distinguished career as a business executive and civic leader in the dynamic public, private and nonprofit sectors of New York City. Wight has held many positions over her 23-year career at CBS, Inc., working for CBS News and CBS Sports. As director of public responsibility for American Express Travel Related Services Company, and as VP of MacAndrews & Forbes/Revlon, she managed high-visibility projects and events. Wight has made outstanding contributions to society as a professional and volunteer in the fields of healthcare, cancer research, women’s rights, the arts, education and philanthropy. She has been affiliated with the American Cancer Society, Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, the Institute for Women and Work at Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations, the Guttman Institute and served as chair of the New York City Commission on the status of women.
Chris Timol is the regional director of sales and former vice president of major market services for Paychex Inc., a member of the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance and Economic Development Council, advisory board member and investor with Janji, Inc. Timol strives to help as many people reach their goals as he can on a daily basis. Adept in business to business sales, and leadership development, he is a leader who has helped attract, develop and retain top talent over the past 20 years.
