Darwin Brewing Co. hires brewer Leslie Shore

Award-winning craft brewery Darwin Brewing Co. added brewer Leslie Shore to their team this week. Her culinary and brewing experience are welcome at Darwin Brewing, where Chef Darwin Santa Maria and Brewmaster Jorge Rosabal develop unique recipes inspired by Peruvian ingredients.

“We have a very distinctive approach when it comes to our beer,” said general manager Matt Cornelius. “Leslie is a perfect fit for us with her passion for cooking and creating new beer recipes. I’m very excited to taste the new brews she comes up with.”

Inspired by her love for creating inventive meals, Shore began making her own beer in 2009 with a home brew kit purchased from Booth’s Brewing in Brandon, Fla. Her interests matured into a career when she took on a position with Booth’s before opening ESB Brewing as Head Brewer. Shore also loves travel, rooting for her favorite soccer team, the Tampa Bay Rowdies, and tasting craft beers with her husband, a self-described beer nerd.

Darwin Brewing Co. produces year-round and limited release beers that are now available across South Florida as well as in their taproom in Bradenton.
