This Fall, Pier 701 and award-winning producer Neil Berg are bringing a first-of-its-kind Supper Series to the Piermont, NY area featuring all inclusive gourmet dinners paired with critically acclaimed Broadway and Cabaret Performances.
The series will run through December 14th and will continue this Saturday, October 15th, with a Cabaret performance led by Richard Skipper with special guests Peggy Eason, Gretchen Reinhagen, Sue Matsuki, Jim Speake, and Andrea Wolff.
Richard Skipper is a popular, award-winning and critically-acclaimed entertainer, theater historian, and pop culture writer. Writing for “Richard Skipper Celebrates,” he has conducted more than 700 interviews reaching more than one million readers. Skipper is a two-time MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets) award winnder, Backstage Bistro Award Winner, and IRNE (Independent New England Reviewers) Nominee for Outstanding Male Singer.
Each unique event will feature complimentary hor d’ouevres, a gourmet four-course meal, followed by a star-studded evening of entertainment. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Hor d’ouevres will begin at 6:00 pm. Tickets for each event are $80.00 per person and do not include tax and gratuity.
Neil Berg, the producer of the series as well as a featured performer, is best known as the composer and lyricist for the Off Broadway hit musical The Prince and the Pauper and creating and co-producing the number one Broadway touring concert 100 Years of Broadway. “What could be better for me than to come back to my home area and bring along with me the world-class Broadway and Cabaret Entertainment I am known for worldwide,” says Berg.
Broadway World recently interviewed Berg about the upcoming series and told the publication, “It’s everything I want it to be, totally inclusive of the audience. It’s like we’re throwing a great dinner party at a fantastic restaurant, and it just happens that some of the greatest singers from Broadway and Cabaret are there entertaining.”
The menu for each event will be hand-crafted and paired with the evening’s entertainment by Pier 701 owner and Executive Chef Denis Whitton. The restaurant is known for bringing the flavors of France, Germany and the Mediterranean to Rockland Country with a seasonal menu that changes 4 to 5 times a year to incorporate the fruits, herbs, and vegetables of each season. Whitton’s resume boasts a long list of iconic restaurants throughout New York and New Jersey such as The Grand Tier Restaurant at the Metropolitan Opera House, La Tour, and La Mangeoire.
Since its opening in 2013, Pier 701 has quickly become one of the most exciting restauraunts and supper clubs in the Tri-State Area with stunning views of the Hudson River and Tappan Zee Bridge.
