TWELVE FOOT NINJA ADD LOS ANGELES AND SAN FRANCISCO DATES WITH IN THIS MOMENT, STARSET, AND 3 PILL MORNING

AND TWO HEADLINE SHOWS IN WORCESTER, MA AND NYC

36+ DATES NOW CONFIRMED FOR “BLACK WIDOW TOUR” BANDS ON TOUR NOW!

Los Angeles, CA – October 27, 2014 – Twelve Foot Ninja, one of Australia’s hottest, most innovative, and experimental new bands have been added to the December 16th San Francisco (Fillmore) and December 17th Los Angeles (House of Blues) shows on the “Black Widow Tour” with In This Moment, Starset, and 3 Pill Morning. The bands kicked off their U.S. tour last night in Reno, NV and perform tomorrow in Spokane, WA. Tickets are on sale now. Recently, Twelve Foot Ninja added two headlining dates that include the Palladium Theatre in Worcester, MA on November 16th and The Studio at Webster Hall in New York City on November 19th. With 38 dates now confirmed, Twelve Foot Ninja is supporting the recent stateside re-release of their critically acclaimed debut album Silent Machine (Volkanik Music). Earlier this year, the band took home the prestigious “Best New Talent” award at the sixth annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards.

“The U.S. has been really great to us so far and we’re pumped to come back with In This Moment, Starset, and 3 Pill Morning,” said guitarist Steve ‘Stevic’ MacKay. “We’ve been hibernating in the studio since the last U.S. tour so we’re itching to hit the stage and we’re ready to unleash.”

Recently, Twelve Foot Ninja released a new ‘behind-the-scenes’ video featuring footage the band filmed backstage, on stage, in the pit, and everywhere in between while out on the road during their most recent North American tours. MacKay adds “We took some GoPros with us on the last two North American tours. You might spot some of the dudes from Periphery, Dead Letter Circus and Born of Osiris. We had a lot of awesome shows especially Rock On The Range this year, but we should note it’s not all waterslides and drinking… there’s a lot of showerless days and crippling hangovers.” Along with Rock on the Range, the band has been winning over thousands of fans at festivals with their explosive live performances at Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, and Rocklahoma cementing a cult-like following on the back of their brand of alternative rock.

The debut single from Silent Machine, “Coming For You,” has surpassed more than 1,000,000 YouTube views. Check out the video now online at: http://youtu.be/-ST85Sui43Q. Widely praised by audiences and critics alike for their ability to combine juxtaposing genres seamlessly, “Coming For You” is the perfect embodiment of this.

In conjunction with the album re-release (featuring two acoustic bonus tracks), the band has bundled a special edition of Silent Machine with a 72-page full-color companion comic book containing 12 individual narratives inspired by the 12 songs featured on Silent Machine. The band collaborated with acclaimed comic artist Keith Draws to produce the comics, which are based on the original Twelve Foot Ninja fable co-written by guitarist Steve ‘Stevic’ Mackay. The story chronicles a sole ninja’s mission to restore balance in a world headed toward a self-inflicted apocalypse. The special edition CD/comic book bundle can now be purchased exclusively at their online store.
Often classified as heavy fusion or progressive hard rock but whatever genre you call them, Twelve Foot Ninja are known for their seamless genre hopping, soaring melodies over heavy rock, and witty music videos – they take an authentic approach to each style and tie it all together to deliver an inimitable sonic flavor. Stamped with a five-star review by Blunt Magazine, Silent Machine has been described as “reggae, Fate of Nations-era Robert Plant rock, space-rock, djent, Queensrychean hard rock and more, yet they somehow manage to tie it all together without sounding too ADHD…if you loved Faith No More’s King for a Day, you’ll feel right at home in this Silent Machine.”

Twelve Foot Ninja is Kin on vocals, Steve ‘Stevic’ MacKay on guitar, Damon McKinnon on bass, Shane ‘Russ’ Russell on drums, and Rohan Hayes on guitar.
