The Sandbar and Beachhouse Restaurants Hosts Unique Tasting Events During
Inaugural West Coast Tour d’Agriculture
Garden Tour Lunch and Farm-to-Fork Dinner Hosted by Owner of Sandbar, Beachhouse and Mar Vista Restaurants

The inaugural Tour d’Agri-Culture event series, September 29 – November 21, offers an array of events primed to unite farmers, ranchers, fisheries, chefs, nutritionists, restaurateurs, wineries and breweries, educators, hoteliers, artists and musicians to create dynamic events that will span across both Manatee and Sarasota counties, Venice and Punta Gorda serving to directly connect people of all ages back to local food origins.
The Sandbar and Beachhouse restaurants are hosting three unique foodie events within the Tour d’ Agri-Culture timeframe showcasing best-of-class, local produce and fresh seafood items.
On October 23 and November 13, the Sandbar will host the Pine Avenue Edible Garden Tour and Sandbar Tasting Lunch which will begin with a walking tour of the community gardens located on Pine Avenue, the “Greenest Little Main Street” in America. The hour tour will be led by renowned native plant expert and designer, Mike Miller, who will educate attendees about the gardens and encourage on-site tastings of produce contained in the gardens. Next, attendees will join Ed Chiles at the Sandbar Restaurant for a multiple course tasting lunch showcasing produce freshly picked from the Pine Avenue gardens and company owned, Gamble Creek Farm, as well as fresh, local seafood from the Gulf waters. Tickets are available for $30 and proceeds benefit the All Island Denominations Roser Food Pantry. On October 24, the newly renovated Beachhouse Restaurant welcomes guests to attend a Farm to Fork Specialty Dinner. This extravagant meal will feature five courses highlighting fresh fall produce from Gamble Creek Farm in Parrish and 3 Boys Farm in Ruskin, paired with fresh, local tide-to-table seafood. Chef Will Manson will prepare each plate while Ed Chiles presents the five courses and their origins. Enjoy signature Lola wine varietals complimentary with each course.
