Portland duo Priory have released their new ‘Weekend’ EP today, as they head into NYC for a release show on Wednesday, October 15th at the Mercury Lounge. The band kicked off their national tour last month with The Kooks, and have added west coast dates with White Arrows. They’ll also be making an appearance at Life Is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas [dates below]. Watch them perform a stripped-down version of ‘Weekend‘ on the roof of Hollywood Towers in LA for Balcony TV.

     

The band’s single, ‘Weekend,’ debuted on the alternative radio charts in its first week, and is featured on the EP alongside three brand new tracks. Brandon Rush and Kyle Sears sold everything they had (including their own blood), and built out a studio in an old cement factory. They dealt with hardships during the recording process – family members with cancer, friends that died of drug overdoses – but turned their life experiences into positive songs with meaningful messages. The best part is – they did it all themselves.
