Mayor Garcetti will join Supervisor Gloria Molina, Councilmember Jose Huizar, Metro CEO Art Leahy and CicLAvia Executive Director Aaron Paley at a press conference to kick off the Heart of LA CicLAvia, which marks the 4th anniversary of the program. This will be the first CicLAvia to traverse one of Mayor Garcetti’s Great Streets corridors– Cesar Chavez Avenue in Boyle Heights. Mayor Garcetti will ride the route beginning at 12pm.

Mayor Garcetti will join Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) President and CEO Bill Allen to announce the striking findings of a new report on the size and of LA’s high tech industry, authored by the LAEDC’s Institute for Applied Economics. The event will kick off the inaugural Los Angeles Innovation Week, from October 6-12.

Mayor Garcetti will join Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia and Goldman Sachs President and Chief Operating Officer Gary Cohn at a press conference to announce an additional commitment to the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program in Southern California, with a panel discussion on the importance of the growth of small businesses to follow.
