Bushwig Celebrates the 3rd Annual Festival of Drag in Bushwick

Bushwig, the annual festival of Drag in Bushwick is excited to return for its third year and open for everyone to celebrate the whole spectrum of ‘’Drag’’ and per-formative gender expressions! Highlights this year include 160 performances going on throughout the day and night, live music, DJ sets, BBQ, crafts, photo booth, games, and prizes. Some of the key performers are Penny Arcade, Dynasty Handbag, Soft Pink Truth, Poisonous Relationship, Tami Tamaki, JD Samson, Bottoms, Bushwick’s very own Horrochata, Macy Rodman, Untitled Queen, Merrie Cherrie (Dragnet), and Cherry Pepsi, bottomsplus many more (see below/more tba). Bushwig has been a giant success the past two years bringing together a diverse variety of entertainers, artists, exhibitionists, and party girls from all over the NYC area. From the very first performance to the last the event upheld a positive and free-spirited atmosphere of peace, love, fun, and DRAG QUEENS. There has been exceptional press coverage of the event from esteemed NYC publications and the creation of a Bushwig community of performers and friends bonding through artistic expression. The buzz of Bushwig has drawn several performers from across the country to its stage this year, and with each continuing year the Bushwig festival hopes to grow and expand its vision and outreach.
