Shaw Festival adds two extra shows of When We Are Married to meet demand

– J.B. Priestley comedy still set to close October 26 –

 

Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON (August 14, 2014) — Due to popular demand, two additional performances of the J.B. Priestley comic play When We Are Married have been scheduled. Tickets for the newly added performance dates are now on sale and can be purchased at www.shawfest.com or by calling 1-800-511-SHAW (7429). Don’t miss one of “the funniest and among the most enduring plays that J.B. Priestley wrote” (Telegraph) or see it again before it closes on Sunday, October 26 because the second time around is always sweeter.

 

The newly added performance dates/times are as follows:

  • Sunday, September 28, 2014, 8 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 23, 2014, 8 p.m.

The Joseph Ziegler-directed farce on marriage has delighted audiences and critics alike – making it one of this season’s must-see shows. The stellar talents of Patrick Galligan, Kate Hennig, Claire Jullien, Thom Marriott, Catherine McGregor and Patrick McManus shine in When We Are Married. Kate Besworth, Jennifer Dzialoszynski, Charlie Gallant, Mary Haney, Peter Krantz, with Wade Bogert-O’Brien, Norman Browning, Fiona Byrne and Peter Millard, complete the show’s consummate cast.

The Shaw’s production of When We Are Married features set design by Ken MacDonald, costume design by Sue LePage, lighting design by Louise Guinand, with original music and sound design by Marek Norman. It began previews on May 7, 2014, opened on June 6, 2014 and is currently on stage at the Royal George Theatre (85 Queen Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake).
