2015 ISB Solo Competition winner Sam Suggs is on a mission to commission! He is a finalist in Tarisio’s Young Artists Grant Program and needs your vote by 12 PM Eastern Standard Time, Tuesday, May 24th, to put him over the top for a $5,000 grant. If selected, the award will help Sam commission new works for double bass by Chicago Symphony Orchestra Composer-in-Residence Sam Adams, and Rome Prize-winning composer Andy Akiho, to be performed at his winner’s recital at the 2017 ISB convention.
