2014 MLB RBI BASEBALL WORLD SERIES TAKES PLACE

IN GRAPEVINE, COLLEYVILLE, AND ARLINGTON, AUGUST 7-11

 

The 2014 Major League Baseball Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) World Series begins this week with 16 teams participating in the baseball portion of the competition. The Texas Rangers are the host major league team for the 2014 competition.

 

The eight finalists in the Junior and Senior Divisions will play games in Grapevine and Colleyville, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 8-10. The Championship Games will be played at Globe Life Park in Arlington on Monday, August 11 with the Junior Division Game at 7:30 a.m. and the Senior Division Game at 10:45 a.m. Both games are open to the public free of charge with the Home Plate Gate opening at 7:00 a.m.

The early round games will be played in Grapevine at the Oak Grove Ballfield Complex (Fields H & I) and at Grapevine High School and in Colleyville at Colleyville High School. The complete schedule and addresses for the game sites are attached.

 

On Thursday, August 7, the teams will participate in the MLB Scouting Bureau Workout Day at the Oak Grove Ballfield Complex where the players will showcase their skills for professional scouts and college recruiters. The Junior Division Teams will compete at 8:30 a.m. with the Senior Division Teams participating at 10:30 a.m.

 

 

The Rangers plan to put highlights of the competition on the team’s Media FTP Site each day. Game results will also be sent to media outlets Thursday through Sunday.
