THE CHAMBER MUSIC SOCIETY OF LINCOLN CENTER

BRINGS FAMILY PROGRAM TO PRINCETON UNIVERSITY CONCERTS

Meet the Music: The Girl Who Loved Wild Horses” for kids ages 6-12

Princeton University Concerts’ annual family concert for kids ages 6-12 returns to the Richardson Auditorium stage on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1PM. This year’s “Meet the Music” program, brought by The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center featuring original music by composer and host Bruce Adolphe, is a musical telling of Paul Goble’s beloved story, “The Girl Who Loved Wild Horses.” Featuring guests from Princeton Girlchoir, the concert will introduce kids to the joys of live chamber music through telling the exciting tale of a Native American girl who runs away from home to be with wild horses, animals to whom she is mystically drawn. Musicians from The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center include flutist Sooyun Kim, clarinetist Romie de Guise-Langlois, violinists Francisco Fullana and Grace Park, cellist Mihai Marica, pianist David Kaplan, and percussionist Eduardo Leandro.

Tickets for Princeton University Concerts’ family programs go quickly, and are only $5 kids/$10 adults available at princetonuniversityconcerts.org, or by calling 609-258-9220.

ABOUT MEET THE MUSIC

Meet the Music” seeks to spark a lifelong love of music that will begin the moment a child “meets the music” in person in Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall. Kids (suggested ages six and up) will embrace the joys of classical chamber music in this renowned program of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMSLC), hosted by composer Bruce Adolphe, Director of Family Programs at CMSLC. A 21st Century embodiment of composer/educator Leonard Bernstein and comedian/performer Victor Borge, Adolphe makes the discovery—or rediscovery—of chamber music a hoot for the whole family
