Sarasota County, YMCA reduce fees at Selby Aquatic Center

SARASOTA COUNTY – Sarasota County Commissioners recently renegotiated the county’s lease with the Sarasota Family YMCA, which means reduced entry fees for the aquatic center located at Potter Park for non-YMCA members.

The fees, which were once $12 per person, have now been reduced to $7 per person, which includes access to the children’s water park and swimming pool.
This continues a long-standing partnership between Sarasota County and the YMCA at Potter Park, which dates back to 1998.
“This renegotiated agreement is another example of our commitment to community, by having wonderful amenities available at affordable prices for the whole family,” said Director of Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources, Carolyn Brown.
Kurt Stringfellow, director of the Sarasota Family YMCA added, “We are pleased to continue our partnership with Sarasota County and these reduced rates reflect the strength of that partnership. We welcome the public to experience this outstanding facility.”
The Sarasota Family YMCA’s Selby Aquatic Center is located at 8301 Potter Park Drive, Sarasota. Potter Park is located at 8587 Potter Park Drive, Sarasota, 34238. Potter Park also features a playground, basketball and tennis courts, nature trails, picnic tables, grills and other amenities.
