Partnership Provides Participating Anglers with an Advantage in Charlotte Harbor

PUNTA GORDA, FLA. The CCA is the state’s leading organization dedicated to marine fishery conservation, education and advocacy. The STAR Florida Tournament is a Catch & Photo event, designed to educate the public on the importance of conserving Florida’s marine resources. CCA’s yearly tournament is expected to attract over 7,500 excited anglers hoping for a chance to win one of the Grand Prizes. For the tagged redfish division of the tournament, the first 8 qualified winners will choose one of the Grand Prizes, which includes boat, motor and trailer packages, all-terrain vehicles, scholarships and more. In conjunction with the event, the Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach Visitor and Convention Bureau has secured preferred rates at several area hotels for participating anglers.
