Los Angeles, CAParty Pupils (MAX + RyanEXOE) channel the ocean waves and summertime breeze on their Dim Mak single “Sax On The Beach,” featuring a contagious saxophone riff played by Big Gigantic’s Dominic Lalli.  Premiering today, is the official “Sax On The Beach” music video, directed by Alexander Ferzan.

In the surreal animated music video, Party Pupils are sent, under the advisory of The King (Steve Aoki), on a wave-riding quest to save The Princess (Elsie Hewitt) from the aphrodisiac spell of a sax-playing dolphin. During the video game-inspired journey, the Party Pupils have to beat Fat Jew in a dance-off and take a selfie with Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy) in order to unlock jet skis, which allow them to embark on a mission filled with pineapple gum, BABE rosé, flying cakes and saxy beats.
“Sax On The Beach” follows a hot string of hits from MAX, including his Billboard Hot 100 (#20) single “Lights Down Low” and his Noah Cyrus collaboration, “Team.”  Ever the prolific artist, MAX teamed up with RyanEXOE in 2016 to form Party Pupils as a party-starting, future-funk side project.  They launched with their OutKast reboot, “Ms. Jackson,” which went on to stream over 11 million times on Spotify.  “Ms. Jackson” established Party Pupils as ones to watch in the next generation of dance artists, and since then the duo have continued to release cutting edge reinterpretations, remixes, and original productions.  Party Pupils have crafted official remixes for Lorde, Bebe Rexha and Jai Wolf, among others. Most recently, they’ve been commissioned to create reworks of Chomeo’s “Juice,” Cheat Codes’ “Feels Great,” featuring Fetty Wap and CVBZ, AJR’s “ Sober Up,” featuring Rivers Cuomo and Alison Wonderland’s “Church.”  While making a name for themselves off innovative remixes and covers, such as their recent take on “This Is How We Do It (ft. Audien),more original Party Pupils singles are set to surface on Dim Mak in the near future.  On the live front, earlier this year Party Pupils were hand picked to support both Louis The Child and Steve Aoki, respectively, on various US dates. Fans can catch this two-man show in a couple of months at their Red Rocks debut supporting Big Gigantic.
