Panophobia, the new EP from Atlanta-based indie-alt band von Grey, is out today. It is available HERE and at all digital music retailers. Produced by Dan Hannon (Manchester Orchestra, A Rocket to the Moon), the seven-track EP is the latest step in von Grey’s bold and undaunted progression into new sonic terrain.
The official video for von Grey’s new single, “Forever Bound,” premiered today. It was directed by Miles Evert (Krewella) and can be viewed HERE. The stark, evocative track, laced with delicate piano work, spectral guitar tones and choir-like harmonies, gracefully captures the pain that follows the suicide of a loved one. Jorgen Odegard’s striking remix of “Forever Bound,” which premiered on EDM.com, can be heard HERE.
von Grey will play a hometown EP release party on August 22 at Aisle 5 In Atlanta’s Little Five Points district. Tickets are available HERE. The band will also perform at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta on August 27 as part of the Brew on the Bricks concert series.
“This band of sisters from Atlanta, Georgia, makes haunting, moody indie rock,” said NYLON, which premiered the video for “Katie,” another track from Panophobia. The LYNOS remix of “Katie,” which can be streamed on SoundCloud, created a buzz, with Proximity proclaiming, “I was instantly blown away” and KnackForTracks.com noting, “The emotion is just seeping through each and every drop, as this guitar driven future bass rendition exceeds all expectations!”
von Grey – made up of sisters Annika (vocals, violin, guitar, keys), Fiona (vocals, guitar, violin, percussion), Petra (keys, electronic percussion, background vocals) and Kathryn (cello, bass pedals, keys, background vocals) – has toured nationally with the Indigo Girls, Lindsey Stirling, Ron Pope and Rusted Root, among others, and performed at such festivals as Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, SXSW, Gathering of the Vibes and Shaky Knees. The band made its late night television debut on “Late Show with David Letterman” and performed on “Conan” in support of their self-titled debut EP.
