Jazz Club of Sarasota presents FREE outdoor concert with Marc Mannino Jazz Sextet
at Centennial Park, Venice, on Sunday, May 21, from 2 to 4 p.m.
SARASOTA, FL: The Jazz Club of Sarasota presents a FREE outdoor concert with the Marc Mannino Jazz Sextet at Centennial Park, 200 West Venice Avenue, Venice, on Sunday, May 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. The combo will play music from the Great American Songbook, jazz instrumentals and popular music with a jazz feel. Mannino leads the group on guitar. Joining him are George Mancini on trombone, John Miller on bass, Bob Lunergan on drums, and Pete Carney on Sax. Shari Morningstar is the vocalist with the sextet.
The concert is co-sponsored by Gulf Coast Community Foundation.
The Jazz Club of Sarasota, founded in 1980, is dedicated to preserving, promoting and presenting jazz, America’s original musical art form. The Club has provided over 50 jazz-related events annually for 37 years. Chief among them is the highly respected Sarasota Jazz Festival, with the 37th Festival set for March 5-11, 2017.
