Born Lau, viola, and Qing Jiang, piano

Born Lau, a violist from Hong Kong, performs Efrem Zimbalist’s reimagining of four short virtuoso pieces by the great Spanish violinist and composer Pablo de Sarasate (1844–1908). Zimbalist, in addition to his international reputation as a concert violinist and pedagogue, was the director of the Curtis Institute of Music from 1948 to 1961. Watch

About Curtis Performs

Performances are recorded in high definition with broadcast-quality video cameras. Many take place inside the state-of-the-art Gould Rehearsal Hall, a 2,850-square-foot acoustically designed space inside Lenfest Hall, which also includes fully equipped video and audio recording studios.
