Sarasota, FL (January 15, 2016) – The Sarasota Film Festival is pleased to announce three alumni films nominated for Academy of Motion Picture Awards on Thursday, January 14, 2016.

 

BOY AND THE WORLD, directed by Alê Abreu received a nomination for Best Animated Feature, CARTEL LAND, directed by Matthew Heineman nominated for Best Documentary Feature and WORLD OF TOMORROW, directed by Don Hertzfeldt nominated for Best Animated Short. All three films played at the 2015 Sarasota Film Festival.
