THE JUILLIARD SCHOOL APPOINTS ALEXANDRA DAY

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING STRATEGY

 

 

The Juilliard School today announced the appointment of Alexandra Day as Director of Communications and Marketing Strategy. As a member of Juilliard’s senior staff, Ms. Day will create and implement a communications strategy to raise visibility for the School and support philanthropy, alumni engagement, admissions, and performances. She will lead Juilliard’s marketing, publications, and communications functions, as well as oversee messaging, video content, and other branding elements for digital channels including the website, e-blasts, and social media.

Polisi, President of The Juilliard School. “Her international experience in audience engagement, integrated communications, and digital media, along with her demonstrated commitment to the arts, will help ensure that Juilliard continues to be a global leader in arts education.”

Ms. Day has worked at a number of corporate and non-profit institutions in Paris, London, and the U.S., including the International Herald Tribune, IMG Artists, and Universal Music. Most recently, she was Director of Public Relations at Lyric Opera of Chicago, where as a part of Lyric’s senior management team, she oversaw communications strategy, creative content, and special initiatives including the award-winning “Second City Guide to the Opera.”

Prior to working at Lyric Opera, Ms. Day held posts as Director of Communications and Business Development for soprano Renée Fleming and Special Projects Manager at the Metropolitan Opera.

Ms. Day holds an A.B. in Comparative Literature from Princeton University.
