Fathom Events and BY Experience Present the Berlin Philharmonic on the Big Screen Performing Two of Beethoven’s Most Beloved Symphonies

DENVER – February 22, 2016 – One of the greatest conductors of all time, Sir Simon Rattle, leads the Berlin Philharmonic in showcasing Beethoven’s masterful brilliance with two tremendously expressive works: the inspired Symphony No. 4 and the impassioned Symphony No. 7. Presented by Fathom Events and BY Experience, Berlin Philharmonic: The Beethoven Project will be in select movie theaters across the U.S. for a one-day event on Saturday, March 19 at 12:55 p.m. local time. The event will also take cinema audiences behind the scenes, with a never-before-seen documentary offering an intimate portrait of Beethoven’s nine symphonies and an overview of the Berlin Philharmonic’s approach to the composer’s genius works, featuring exclusive interviews with Rattle and members of the Philharmonic.

Creating an unforgettable evening of musical expression directed by one of today’s most outstanding conductors, The Beethoven Project features the juxtaposition between the more classical and cheerful Symphony No. 4 and the powerful, almost ecstatic Symphony No. 7.

“The Berlin Philharmonic is the world’s preeminent orchestra, and it is an honor to be presenting them to U.S. cinema audiences with ‘The Beethoven Project,’” said Julie Borchard-Young, co-President of BY Experience. “We are very proud to be working with the Berlin Philharmonic and conductor Sir Simon Rattle, to share the experience of Beethoven’s brilliant symphonic masterpieces in U.S. cinemas for the first time ever.”
