We’ve all witnessed that moment when a leader walks into a room, and instantly attracts intense, positive attention. That gravitas or ability to have people stop and listen when you speak is somewhat of a mystery, but is often called “executive presence.” It’s a blending of temperament and competencies that, when combined, send all the right signals to convey that you’re a leader.

According to a new study by the Center for Talent Innovation, “executive presence” accounts for 26% of what it takes to get promoted. Being perceived as leadership material is essential to being promoted into leadership positions, making it an essential skill for anyone who aspires to advance.

Join us at The Club’s Annual CEO Fireside Chat on June 4, when our C-Suite panel will share their perspectives on executive presence. During the discussion they will address some of the widely held norms considered necessary for executive presence, and insights into bridging the gap between those traditional standards and evolving behaviors. They will also provide feedback on the role of executive presence in leadership success from their perspectives as an all-diverse panel.
