Miami – March 30, 2015 – Telemundo presents María Celeste Arrarás in an exclusive interview with Chiquis Rivera about the launch of Rivera’s first book, an autobiographical account titled “Perdón.” The interview will air on “Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste” (4PM/3C) on April 2, “Enfoque con José Díaz-Balart” (12PM/11AMC) on April 5, and “Un Nuevo Día” (7AM/6C) on April 7, also on April 6, María Celeste will be on “Access Hollywood” show.
In this revealing conversation, Jenni Rivera’s eldest daughter tells what it was like to grow up with the famous singer as her mother, with whom she had an intense and troubled relationship; gives her first detailed account of the sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of her biological father; and shares a secret with María Celeste that she describes as even more painful than the incest itself, a secret that she offers more details in her book and she regrets never having confess to her deceased mother.
In the conversation, held at Jenni Rivera’s house in Encino, California, María Celeste and Chiquis share laughter and tears, especially when Chiquis breaks her silence and admits the reason why Jenni cut her out of her life months before her fatal accident. After two years of speculations about their distant relationship, Chiquis finally tells all, leaving nothing up to the imagination.
Viewers will have a lot to talk about as a result of the interview, led by award-winning Telemundo journalist and host María Celeste Arrarás and timed to coincide with the release of Chiquis’s new book, “Perdón.” “I read the manuscript of “Perdon” in record time, I couldn’t put it down,” María Celeste remarked. “I think it’s an extremely honest book and it moved me in many ways. Chiquis was just as honest and open in this interview that, no doubt, will shed years and make headlines.”
