TANNA FREDERICK NAMED CELEBRITY AMBASSADOR FOR ACORELLE
THE FIRST 100% ORGANIC ALCOHOL PERFUME NOW AVAILABLE IN THE US
Certified Organic and Made in France, the New Acorelle Collection Combines Essential Oils with Organic (& Non-Denatured) Alcohol
A new range of 100% natural, certified organic eaux de parfum by Laboratoire Odysud of France is being introduced in the United States as part of the Acorelle collection. The line is distributed by Baudelaire, Inc., the authentic fragrances specialized importer, and is proud to be supported by the actress and environmentalist Tanna Frederick, as a brand ambassador. Each sophisticated fragrance uniquely combines the beneficial properties of particular essential oils to improve everyday emotional wellbeing. French made, every formula is handcrafted with creativity and care by exclusive perfumer, Philippe Collet, from Grasse – the city known as “the birthplace of perfume.”
Acorelle is the only organic certified perfume available in the U.S. that uses 100% organic alcohol and 100% natural fragrances. It contains no synthetic fragrance, parabens, phthalates, endocrine disruptors or artificially denatured alcohol.
By avoiding commercial denatured alcohol, Acorelle sets itself well above other perfumes, even those that carry organic certification. Because denaturants cannot be obtained organically, Acorelle uses only pure organic wheat alcohol, certified as denatured by virtue of the essential oils that are added, without any toxic or synthetic ingredients.
“Of the many solutions used for harmonizing and rebalancing our emotions, there is only one remedy that is easy and effective, and that is perfume,” says CEO Régis Lelong. “It is a powerful therapy and depending on its composition, it can comfort, soothe and even re-energize us. We wanted our new line to not only appeal to the senses and rebalance emotions, but also to provide consumers with one of the first wholly natural, organic perfume options on the market today.”
Acorelle fragrances are developed based on the science of olfactotherapy, the study of how smell impacts the brain. The new line is divided into three therapeutic categories—Energizing, Balancing and Soothing—and each category includes three distinct fragrances.
For example, the Tea Garden scent (Energizing) contains notes of cedar and citron to restore alertness and positive energy. In the Soothing category, Lotus Dream relies on the subtle alchemy between tea and lavender to generate a Zen-like feeling of calm.
The Acorelle line includes traditional eaux de parfum and the lighter eaux fraiche formats, as well as body mists. Retail price ranges from $15 to $55 for eaux de parfums (0.34 fl oz Roller ball format vs 1.7 fl oz bottle),$28 for 1.01 fl oz eaux fraiche, and $18 for 3.4 fl oz body mists. They are available nationally retail shelves in natural stores such as Whole Foods.
“Each essential oil in the Acorelle collection was selected for its proven olfactotherapeutic and emotional properties,” explains Perfumer Philippe Collet, who created this new collection and has partnered with the company for the past 9 years. “The combinations are not just a mixture of essential oils, but are carefully constructed harmonies. The challenge for us was to find a balance between natural, organic ingredients and the elegance we wanted to bestow on the perfumes.”
Today in France, Acorelle is recognized for leading the way in natural perfumes. Acorelle is produced in the southwest region of the country and is 100% French made, from the sustainably farmed raw materials through manufacturing and packaging.
Laboratoire Odysud’s production facility meets HQE standards (the standard for green building in France) and is equipped with enough solar panels to produce more energy than it consumes, making Acorelle 100% self-powered.
