ST LOUIS SYMPHONY IN UNISON CHORUS COMMUNITY CONCERT

Performance scheduled at Ferguson church Sunday, April 26

 ST. LOUIS—The St. Louis Symphony’s IN UNISON Chorus will perform its annual Community Concert Sunday, April 26 at Greater Grace Church in Ferguson.  Doors open for this free concert at 6pm, the performance starts at 7pm.   Seating is first-come, first-served.

 

The chorus, led by Director Kevin McBeth, will sing songs of hope, peace and unity during the concert, and will be accompanied by members of the St. Louis Symphony.  Nationally recognized choral conductor and composer Dr. Rollo Dilworth returns to his hometown to guest conduct the IN UNISON chorus during this special evening.

 

The IN UNISON program, celebrating its 20th anniversary this season, includes dozens of predominantly African- American churches throughout the St. Louis area.  St. Louis Symphony musicians perform at IN UNISON churches, and scholarships are awarded to students from member churches who are seeking their college degrees in music or music education.  The IN UNISON Chorus is comprised of vocalists from IN UNISON churches, and performs twice a season at Powell Hall.
