SONGSTRESS BROOKE MORIBER RELEASES TWO HEALING ANTHEMS INSPIRED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
“In It Together”

New York, NY – Singer-songwriter, Brooke Moriber, signed to Reviver Records in Nashville, has released two tracks inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic. “In It Together,” and “Better Days,” were both conceived during the darkest days of 2020, and are available now for streaming.
Moriber, a Manhattan native, has come a long way from her Broadway roots, an evolution that has led her from New York City to Nashville and beyond. She began her music career at the age of 8, landing the role of young “Cosette” in Les Misérables, which was a springboard to various acting roles on stage and screen.
Moriber turned to songwriting when diagnosed with a rare eye disease as a teenager, recording words and melodies to cope with the debilitating lack of sight, painful treatments and side effects. “I woke up one morning and couldn’t see my face in the mirror,” she said. “Just a thick haze of blurry colors. I was told that without heavy doses of cortisone and chemotherapeutic drugs I would go completely blind.” Moriber turned to meditation and self healing, willing herself to continue performing and to the surprise of her doctors, the disease went in to remission four years later.

A writing appointment on Zoom in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic inspired Moriber and two songwriters to create a healing anthem. T he remotely-written song, “In It Together,” was a product of the Nashville/NYC connection between Moriber and veteran Music Row songwriters Bill DiLuigi and Kirsti Manna.
In April, 2020, Moriber put out a home recorded version of ”In It Together,” set against a video of her beloved hometown, New York City, struggling through the pandemic. Seeing how people were connecting with the song, Brooke decided to do a full, remotely recorded production, under the helm of legendary producer, Fred Mollin.
A few weeks after the release of “In It Together,” Moriber was inspired to write another pandemic anthem. “Better Days”, is a crowd rousing, lift-your-lighters, kind of song about hope. Co-written over Zoom with friend and colleague Reed Waddle, the song takes us on a journey through an empty metropolis where every corner brings back memories of what was before but also reminds us of our resilience and gives us hope for a better tomorrow. “We decided this was a song that people needed to hear now,” says Moriber. “Better Days” can be heard on SiriusXMs Velvet station.
Moriber, who is currently in the studio recording three new tracks for Reviver Records, has worked and performed with notable artists such as: Cyndi Lauper, Alan Cumming, Ana Gastayer, Nelly McKay, Lily Taylor, Kirsten Johnston, Carlos Leon, Mandy Patinkin, Tony Colette, Eartha Kitt, and The Gin Blossoms. Recently Brooke had the privilege of sharing billing with The Gibson Brothers, Sheryl Crow, and Livingston Taylor in performing in tribute to Willie Nelson.
