Sultry Shana Halligan, vocalist on Thievery Corporation’s new single, “Depth of My Soul”, is ready to drop a new track of her own, a song called “Get Gone” recorded with producer Chuck Wild under the moniker Shana & The Hooligans.

Listen to “Get Gone” here.

Get Gone” is our take on the classic “I’m over you and better off without you” song, which is something we can all relate to. We’ve both had our share of ex’s, and been involved in band situations that went sour, etc. Rather than holding onto the past, one of the main things that has connected us to each other and this project, is our positivity,” says the band.

“Whether it’s an ex who manipulated you, an oppressive job you had to quit, or a friend who stabbed you in the back… tell ’em Get Gone and move on up!

Most well known as the lead singer/songwriter of the pop group Bitter:Sweet (a Top 5 Most Requested band on KCRW), Shana Halligan’s debut solo EP, Paper Butterfly charted at #3 on iTunes when it was released in 2012. She has collaborated with artists ranging from Serj Tankian (System Of A Down) to dance guru Morgan Page.

Collaborator Chuck Wild is the producer / DJ behind Captain Planet and The Beatards. Captain Planet’s mixtape, “Mystery Trip Vol. 1” was included in Sasha Frere-Jones’ “Best Music of 2012”, and his new album, Esperanto Slang, coming this summer on Bastard Jazz Records, features the single “Poquito Mas ft. Chico Mann”. Chuck Wild has done remixes (both official and bootleg) for Lorde, Banks, Little Dragon, Katy B, Alice Russell, Ana Tijoux, Mayer Hawthorne and many more. Chuck also runs the popular music blog & online radio outlet Mixtape Riot.
