Roser Community Church 2014 CONCERT SERIES continues…

PAUL TODD in Concert
FRIDAY, MARCH 14 at 7:30 PM.

Six keyboards… many fingers, hands AND feet stretch to cover the keyboards simultaneously! (Check out his performances on YouTube.com). AND he sings; AND, his son will also lend his talents to this performance. The concert will consist of both Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. performing Gospel Favorites, Classical Music, as well as Paul’s many original compositions, Broadway and the Great American Songbook, with Paul playing 6 keyboards and Paul Jr. playing drums.

The experience of a Paul Todd concert is totally different from anything anyone has ever seen before. Paul accompanies himself by playing six keyboards simultaneously. His fingers and feet move at lightening fast speed, which the audience can see on a large mirror set up behind the keyboards. Known also for his smooth and powerful vocals, he combines talent with a sparkling wit to help make his concerts an unforgettable family night out. Columnist Jack Moss said it best, “I’ve seen Todd do his thing in concert and I think he’s impossible to top as an entertainer.”

PAUL TODD Sr., although called a child prodigy at the keyboards, he found it was only after years of study, practice, and working in different areas of the music business that he fully understood and developed his own talent. As a child, he realized that he could hear entire symphonies and scores of music “in his head”, but he had to spend years training his hands and feet to automatically perform what he heard. He was always drawn to keyboards and organs versus a piano because the instrumental voices on keyboards let him, in reality, become his own orchestra. Paul has composed theme songs for many prominent organizations including: Men in Mission, for the Men in Mission organization; Make a Wish, which he wrote for the Make a Wish Foundation, later recorded by Crystal Gayle; and Christmas is for Children, for the Toys for Tots program. Paul has composed the entire score for two musicals; most recently, A Christmas Carol, which played in New York for many holiday seasons. Past productions have starred Wilfred Brimley (The Firm), and John Astin (Gomez in TV’s The Addams Family). In 1999, Paul composed the song The First Lady In My Life, a popular Mother/Son wedding dance song. Paul’s Spirit of Christmas DVD was a recipient of a Telly Award in 2004. Paul orchestrated and performed the music for the Halo Baby series for children with Sky Angel Productions. Paul Todd in Concert, a half-hour TV show, can be seen nationwide every Thursday night on television through Sky Angel IPTV and on the Dish Network.

PAUL TODD Jr. (PJ) is an accomplished entertainer, singer and song writer, who got his musical start by performing along side his dad. At the age of 14 (he was born in 1992), PJ performed professionally for the first time at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Naples, where he sang a medley of songs with his dad. His dad enjoyed performing with him so much that PJ soon became a permanent addition to the shows, and they have performed together across the country for over 5 years. Paul Jr. performed his first-ever solo show at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theater, where he sang songs by the great crooners of the past in his rendition of The Great American Songbook. Both nights were sold out and he returned for 3 consecutive years. PJ likes to think of himself as a modern crooner citing legends such as Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, Paul Anka, and of course his father as his biggest inspirations. He recently released his first album, The Great American Songbook: Volume I. He has an exceptionally versatile voice, which he puts to good use by throwing his own twist on every song and style of music he sings. He has recently taken up percussion as well, performing many exciting instrumental arrangements at his performances. PJ is also a gifted songwriter. In 2012 he wrote the title song for the Be the Change Challenge Organization titled Be the Change and the Christmas song, One Star, as a tribute to men and women in uniform serving overseas. He strives to become as memorable as the individuals that inspired his talent.
