Opera Columbus, BalletMet, and the Columbus Symphony Unite to Present Twisted, the Arts Event of the Season

 

Four Performances Only at the Ohio Theatre, September 25-28

 

In an unprecedented collaboration, more than 200 artists from BalletMet, the Columbus Symphony, and Opera Columbus will join forces to open the 2014-15 season with what will undoubtedly be the arts event of the season, Twisted. A brilliant fusion of singers, dancers, and musicians will come together to perform dance  premieres from four of today’s hottest choreographers set to a feast of classical music from beloved operas including La BohémeThe Magic FluteDon Giovanni, Carmen, and more.

 

Twisted will be presented at the Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.) on Thursday, September 25, at 7:30 pm; Friday, September 26, at 8 pm; Saturday, September 27, at 8 pm; and Sunday, September 28, at 1 pm. Tickets begin at $10 and can be purchased at the CAPA Ticket Center (39 E. State St.), all Ticketmaster outlets, and www.ticketmaster.com. Each of these locally revered and internationally recognized arts organizations brings its own distinct specializations and together create an extraordinary smörgåsbord of talent.

ABOUT BALLETMET COLUMBUS

BalletMet Columbus, renowned for its versatility and innovative repertory, ranks among the nation’s largest dance companies.
