Multi-platinum, 3-time GRAMMY-Award winning band Maroon 5’s latest album V is set to debut on September 2nd via 222 Records/Interscope Records. PRESS HERE to pre-order V on iTunes. The album is a sonic summation of the group’s journey to date – capturing the essence of the earliest Maroon 5 hits through to their most recent successes, as well as providing a picture of its artistic growth in the future. In conjunction with the release of the band’s fifth studio album, Maroon 5 will be making appearances on TODAY (9/1), The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (9/2), America’s Got Talent (9/3), and The Ellen DeGeneres Show (9/8).Adam Levine will also be making an appearance on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on September 4th.

 

This past weekend marked the band’s live debut performance of “Maps” at the MTV Video Music Awards. Upon its release, the single quickly reinforced the group’s status as a powerhouse in popular music, setting a record for the highest debut by a group on TOP 40 radio charts in 18 years. The band’s performance at the VMA’s followed on the heels of the release of their sophomore single “Animals.”

 

Maroon 5 has partnered with Creative Allies in a contest providing opportunities for artists and designers anywhere in the world to submit work for big names in music and entertainment. Anybody is welcome to create artwork inspired by Maroon 5 and V. One winner will receive $500 and two tickets to any show on the upcoming tour. Capturing their first of three Grammy Awards as “Best New Artist” of 2005 and going on to sell more than 17 million albums worldwide, Maroon 5’s releases have gone gold and platinum in over 35 countries. The band won over fans and critics alike with the hybrid rock/R&B sound they introduced on their debut album, “Songs About Jane” and their double platinum album, “It Won’t be Soon Before Long,” which included hits like “Makes Me Wonder” and “If I Never See your Face Again.” In 2010, the band released their third studio album, “Hands All Over,” which featured the group’s anthemic chart-topping smash single “Moves Like Jagger.” The song has since gone on to become one of the best-selling singles of all time.
