REP LAB RETURNS FOR A FIFTH YEAR TO THE STIEMKE STUDIO

Popular Short-Play Festival Marks the 50th Anniversary of

Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s Artistic Intern Ensemble

March 26, 2015 – [Milwaukee] – Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s (The Rep) Artistic Intern Ensemble presents its annual one-of-a-kind short-play festival, Rep Lab, returning for its fifth season to the intimate Stiemke Studio from April 10 – 13, 2015. Described by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as “thoughtfully arranged” and “fun-filled,” Rep Lab showcases the work of The Rep’s artistic interns across theatrical disciplines from directing to design to acting. Featured as the culmination of a season long experience at the theater, Rep Lab is conceived and produced solely by the Artistic Intern Ensemble, and has become one of the hottest tickets in town, often selling out weeks in advance.

“This year marks the 50th Anniversary of our Artistic Internship Program, one of the strongest and most well-respected programs for emerging professional actors and directors in the American Regional Theater,” states Artistic Director Mark Clements. “Nurturing talent is a deep passion of ours, and I can say without reservation, that this year’s interns have a bright future in theaters both local and national.
