Manatee Holiday Boat Parade Seeking Entries

BRADENTON, Fla., Nov. 8, 2016—Manatee Holiday Boat Parade organizers are currently seeking entries for participation in the annual maritime event taking place Dec. 10, 2016. Individuals, businesses, and organizations of all types are encouraged to register. Cash prizes totaling more than $19,000 are up for grabs, which is more than ever previously awarded. Space is limited to 25 vessels and boaters will compete for awards in the following categories: first, second and third place-lighted boat 40′ or longer and first, second and third place-lighted boat under 40′. All participating captains will receive gifts as well as entry into the VIP Awards Party, which takes place at the Riverhouse Reef and Grill restaurant immediately following the parade. Registration forms are due by December 4. There is no entry fee.

The parade of lighted boats begins at dusk near Snead Island. The route then proceeds east past the Bradenton Yacht Club, to Riverhouse Reef and Grill and the Regatta Pointe Marina. The parade turns south at the Green Bridge and moves onward to PIER 22 and the Twin Dolphin Marina. Public viewing sites are available from the Green Bridge Pier, Riverhouse Reef & Grill, PIER 22 and on the Riverwalk in downtown Bradenton.
